Thanks for all of your suggestions. I like the idea of having students pull out quotes or paraphrases from articles and explain how it will help support their thesis.  I think I&#039;ll have students submit a thesis statement and outline before the rough draft next time as well.

I will definitely post the work for the week the next time I teach this class. The reason I didn&#039;t do it this time is that I was frantically working to prepare the next unit while you were working on the previous one.  Since I&#039;d never taught this before, I was creating everything from scratch. The next time I teach this, it will be much easier because I will just have to edit my assignments and lectures, then post them.

It&#039;s good to hear that you like the feedback I give you in the Word document.  It can be tedious making the comments, and I&#039;m sure it&#039;s a bit tedious making the edits, but I want students to see clearly what particular thing I&#039;m trying to fix or suggest.</description>
